Healing Garden

The Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation Center campus landscape is taking new shape under a transformation of heartfelt contributors who value the beauty of nature – plants, flowers, trees, and natural light – as a simple way to enrich the lives of all who come in contact with the gardens.

Partnering with UTK

Servierville Health and Rehabilitation partnered with University of Tennessee Knoxville alumna Carolyn J. Price, PhD, to oversee the implementation of the Healing Garden, which will be seen at the facility’s flag pole and mailbox, along the exterior building and will extend into the interior courtyards. Carol is the project’s lead gardener and is observing the facility’s spaces of opportunity for ensuring residents, staff and guests alike are able to have the perfect view of the most impressive seasonal offerings.

Tennessee Wholesale Nursery

The Healing Garden is also being developed further with generous donations from the Tennessee Wholesale Nursery based in Altamont, Tennessee. They have been in the wholesale nursery grower industry for over 60 years and state that they are honored to ship plants for research.

While the gardening team at Sevierville Health and Rehabilitation Center is already convinced of the early research and documented benefits, they are nonetheless most thankful for the partnership with the Nursery to make this facility garden special for all who visit.
